Justin Brooks, MD, PhD

Dr. Brooks is a physician-scientist interested in harnessing mobile/wearable technologies in human-in-the-loop systems. He aims to understand, predict, and influence human behavior and health through advanced signal processing and machine learning approaches. Currently, Dr. Brooks serves as an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at UMBC and is a co-founder of two small businesses developing technologies to address critical, unmet medical needs. Before his current roles, Dr. Brooks amassed a diverse range of experiences in private industry, pharmaceuticals, and US Government laboratories. He earned his BS in Biological Sciences from UMBC and his MD and PhD from Washington University in St. Louis.
