Advancing Digital Endpoints

Jamie Adams, MD

Dr. Jamie Adams is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Movement Disorders specialist at the University of Rochester and the Associate Director of the Center for Health + Technology.  Her research focuses on the use and evaluation of digital health technology, such as wearable sensors, smartphone applications, and telemedicine in individuals with neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease. Dr. Adams has also led qualitative efforts to evaluate the most bothersome symptoms and impacts of disease and determine the relevance of digital measures to patients’ experience with Parkinson’s disease.  Through this work, Dr. Adams hopes to advance the use of digital health technologies to facilitate the development of meaningful patient therapies.
